Existing law states the intent of the Legislature in creating the Health Care Payments Data System is to establish a system to collect information regarding health care costs, utilization, quality, and equity, and create a process to aggregate and use this data to provide greater transparency. This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation to increase transparency of health data.
