                    CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE 20232024 REGULAR SESSION Assembly Bill No. 921Introduced by Assembly Member BontaFebruary 14, 2023 An act relating to mental health. LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGESTAB 921, as introduced, Bonta. Mental health: workforce.Existing law establishes the State Department of State Hospitals within the California Health and Human Services Agency and sets forth its powers and duties relating to the administration of the state hospitals, including, but not limited to, the execution of laws relating to care and treatment of persons with mental health disorders under the custody of the department.Existing law also establishes the Department of Health Care Access and Information, and requires that department to, in coordination with the California Behavioral Health Planning Council, develop a 5-year education and training development plan.
