Be It Resolved by the Senate of the Seventy-third General1
Assembly of the State of Colorado, the House of Representatives2
concurring herein:3
(1) That, pursuant to the provisions of section 2-2-305, Colorado4
Revised Statutes, the following positions are hereby created for the5
Second Regular Session of the Seventy-third General Assembly with the6
monthly compensation to be paid to the persons elected or appointed to7
each position in the range set opposite the position:8

*The Secretary of the Senate and the Chief Clerk of the House of33
Representatives are authorized to hire Legislative Aides pursuant to Joint34
Rule 39 of the House of Representatives and the Senate. If Legislative35
Aides are authorized by the Executive Committee, acting in accordance36
with such Joint Rule 39, to start prior to the convening of the next regular37
session, they may be paid at the rate specified in this resolution from the38
date they are authorized to start.39

-3- (2) That the Secretary of the Senate and the Chief Clerk of the House1
of Representatives remain in such capacity after adjournment of the2
General Assembly sine die until the convening of the First Regular3
Session of the Seventy-fourth General Assembly in January, 2023.4
(3) That the President of the Senate and the Chair of the House5
Services Committee, with the authorization of the Speaker of the House6
of Representatives, are hereby separately authorized to retain and hire7
replacements for such employees for such period of time in the interim8
between the Second Regular Session of the Seventy-third General9
Assembly and the First Regular Session of the Seventy-fourth General10
Assembly as they deem necessary for their respective houses; except that11
the office equipment of the General Assembly and the services of such12
employees shall be used only in connection with official legislative13
business.14
(4) That the President of the Senate and the Chair of the House15
Services Committee, with the authorization of the Speaker of the House16
of Representatives, are hereby separately authorized to hire such17
session-only employees for the next regular session as they deem18
necessary for their respective houses and who may start their employment19
on the date authorized.20
