The division must use the transferred funds to purchase a fire hawk helicopter configured for wildfire and other public safety response needs. State Expenditures In FY 2023-24, the DPS will spend the transferred $26.0 million on purchasing a fire hawk helicopter. Effective Date The bill takes effect upon signature of the Governor, or upon becoming law without his signature.
