The bill makes changes to the Capital Building Advisory Committee statutes and 
requires History Colorado to inventory state capitol artifacts. The bill is assumed to 
increase state expenditures in FY 2024-25 only.

Summary of Legislation 
The bill makes changes to the Capitol Building Advisory Committee and requires History 
Colorado to inventory state capitol artifacts. 
State Expenditures 
For FY 2024-25, History Colorado is assumed to require funding to inventory state capitol 
artifacts. These costs are preliminarily estimated at $20,000. The modifications to the Capital 
Building Advisory Committee can be accomplished within existing resources. 
Effective Date 
The bill takes effect 90 days following adjournment of the General Assembly sine die, assuming 
no referendum petition is filed. 
State Appropriations 
For FY 2024-25, the bill requires a General Fund appropriation of $20,000 to the Department of 
Higher Education for use by History Colorado.
