The bill is assumed to increase state workload and expenditures in FY 2024-25 only. Appropriation Summary: No appropriation is required. Fiscal Note Status: The revised fiscal note reflects the introduced bill, but has been revised to include new information. Summary of Legislation The bill makes changes to the Capitol Building Advisory Committee and requires History Colorado to work with legislative staff to conduct an inventory of State Capitol artifacts. State Expenditures For FY 2024-25, History Colorado will see an increase in workload and costs related to the inventory of State Capitol artifacts. These costs are preliminarily estimated at $20,000 and can be absorbed by History Colorado using existing appropriations. Should the costs associated with the inventory exceed the expected costs, History Colorado will address it through the annual budget process. The modifications to the Capital Building Advisory Committee can be accomplished within existing resources. Effective Date The bill takes effect 90 days following adjournment of the General Assembly sine die, assuming no referendum petition is filed.
