Summary Information 
Overview. The bill allows courses in certain direct admission pathway programs to be offered through 
concurrent enrollment.  
Types of impacts. The bill is projected to affect the following areas on an ongoing basis:

Summary of Legislation 
The bill allows higher education courses that are part of a direct admission pathway program 
into a science, technology, engineering, or math degree or credential program to be offered 
through concurrent enrollment.  
Institutions of Higher Education 
The bill may increase workload for institutions of higher education that offer direct admission 
pathway programs into science, technology, engineering or math fields to serve additional 
students. Tuition revenue may also increase from additional participating students. Workload 
and revenue impacts are expected to be minimal.   
School District 
School districts who choose to offer concurrent enrollment at institutions with eligible direct 
admission pathway programs will pay negotiated tuition rates to institutions for any additional 
students participating in concurrent enrollment. 
Effective Date 
The bill takes effect 90 days following adjournment of the General Assembly sine die, assuming 
no referendum petition is filed.
