The bill adds certified verbatim reporters and certified verbatim reporters-stenotype to the list of individuals who may administer oaths and affirmations. Assessment of No Fiscal Impact Courts will have additional flexibility for which staff are available to administer an oath or affirmation, but the bill does not impact the number of personnel required to be present during court proceedings nor does it affect the overall length of the proceeding. Because this change will not have any impact on court revenues or expenditures, this bill is assessed as having no fiscal impact. Effective Date The bill takes effect upon signature of the Governor, or upon becoming law without his signature.
