Summary of Legislation
Senate Bill 24-135 extended the deadline for the Department of Early Childhood to report on
the Colorado Child Abuse Prevention Trust Fund Act to November 1, 2029. The bill extends the
repeal date of the reporting section in Act from July 1, 2027 to July 1, 2030 to align with the
updated report deadline.
Assessment of No Fiscal Impact
The bill updates the Department of Early Childhood’s statutes to extend the repeal date of the
reporting section of the Child Abuse Prevention Trust Fund Act to align with the reporting
deadline. This change results in no change to state or local government revenue or
expenditures. For this reason, the bill is assessed as having no fiscal impact.
Effective Date
The bill takes effect 90 days following adjournment of the General Assembly sine die, assuming
no referendum petition is filed.
