In Colorado Revised Statutes, amend 26.5-3-2082 as follows:3 26.5-3-208. Report. (1) The department shall contract for an4 independent evaluation of the C OLORADO CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION trust5 fund CREATED IN SECTION 26.5-3-206, AS IT EXISTED PRIOR TO ITS REPEAL6 ON JULY 1, 2027, including administrative costs of operating the trust fund7 and the cost-effectiveness and the impact of the grants on reducing and8 preventing child abuse. The department shall provide a report of the9 evaluation to the house of representatives and senate health and human10 services committees, or any successor committees, on or before11 November 1, 2029.12 (2) This part 2 is repealed, effective July 1, 2027. 13 SECTION 2. In Colorado Revised Statutes, add 26.5-3-209 as14 follows:15 26.5-3-209. Repeal of part. (1) S ECTIONS 26.5-3-201 TO16 26.5-3-207 ARE REPEALED, EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2027.17 (2) S ECTION 26.5-3-208 AND THIS SECTION ARE REPEALED ,18 EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2030.19 SECTION 3. Act subject to petition - effective date. This act20 takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on the day following the expiration of the21 ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly; except22 that, if a referendum petition is filed pursuant to section 1 (3) of article V23 of the state constitution against this act or an item, section, or part of this24 act within such period, then the act, item, section, or part will not take25 1305-2- effect unless approved by the people at the general election to be held in1 November 2026 and, in such case, will take effect on the date of the2 official declaration of the vote thereon by the governor.3 1305 -3-
