Dashes through the words or numbers indicate deletions from existing law. of liberating Iraqi-occupied Kuwait; and1 WHEREAS, One hundred forty-three members of the United2 States Armed Forces, including three Coloradans, were killed in action3 over the course of the Gulf War; and4 WHEREAS, It is, and will forever remain, society's solemn5 obligation to recognize the service rendered by Gulf War veterans and the6 sacrifice associated with that service; now, therefore,7 Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the Seventy-fifth8 General Assembly of the State of Colorado, the Senate concurring herein:9 That we, the members of the Colorado General Assembly, hereby:10 (1) Acknowledge and recognize the veterans of the Gulf War for11 the service they rendered;12 (2) Honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice and gave their13 lives in service to their country;14 (3) Express our heartfelt gratitude and sympathy to the families of15 fallen service members; and16 (4) Encourage all Coloradans to remember the sacrifices made by17 Gulf War veterans and their families.18 Be It Further Resolved, That copies of this Joint Resolution be sent19 to the Colorado Department of Military and Veterans Affairs; the United20 Veterans Coalition of Colorado; the President of the United States,21 Donald J.
