For money appropriated to the Colorado state university system for use by the Colorado state forest service to renovate and expand the seedling tree nursery, the bill extends the spending authority through the 2026-27 state fiscal year. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado:1 SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 23-31-319, amend2 (6) and (8) as follows:3 23-31-319. Forest service seedling tree nursery - necessary4 upgrades and improvements - definition - funding - reports - repeal.5 (6) Appropriation. For the 2022-23 and 2023-24 state fiscal years, the6 general assembly shall appropriate money to the Colorado state university7 system for allocation to and expenditure by the Colorado state forest8 service for the purposes specified in this section. Any money appropriated9 by the general assembly pursuant to this subsection (6) that is not10 expended before the end of the fiscal year for which it is appropriated11 remains available for expenditure for the same purposes until the close of12 the 2024-25 2026-27 state fiscal year.13 (8) Repeal. This section is repealed, effective January 1, 202614 J UNE 30, 2027.15 SECTION 2. Safety clause. The general assembly finds,16 determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate17 preservation of the public peace, health, or safety or for appropriations for18 the support and maintenance of the departments of the state and state19 institutions.20 SB25-115 -2-
