Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado:1 SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 22-2-112, repeal2 (1)(i) as follows:3 22-2-112. Commissioner - duties - report - legislative4 declaration. (1) Subject to the supervision of the state board, the5 commissioner has the following duties:6 (i) To cause to be reprinted annually laws enacted by the general7 assembly concerning education, in accordance with the provisions of8 section 24-1-136, C.R.S., and to furnish copies thereof to interested9 persons. All publishing costs therefor shall be paid out of the state public10 school fund pursuant to section 22-54-114 (5).11 SECTION 2. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 22-54-114, repeal (5)12 as follows:13 22-54-114. State public school fund. (5) All publishing costs14 associated with the annual printing of the laws enacted by the general15 assembly concerning education shall be paid out of the state public school16 fund.17 SECTION 3. Appropriation - adjustments to 2025 long bill. To18 implement this act, the cash funds appropriation from the state public19 school fund created in section 22-54-114 (1), C.R.S., made in the annual20 general appropriation act for the 2025-26 state fiscal year to the21 department of education for use by management and administration for22 reprinting and distributing laws concerning education is decreased by23 $35,480.24 SECTION 4. Effective date. This act takes effect July 1, 2025.25 SECTION 5. Safety clause. The general assembly finds,26 determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate27 SB25-216 -2- preservation of the public peace, health, or safety or for appropriations for1 the support and maintenance of the departments of the state and state2 institutions.3 SB25-216 -3-
