C ONCERNING THE REPEAL OF THE SIXTH THROUGH TWELFTH GRADE MENTAL HEALTH SCREENING ACT , AND, IN CONNECTION THEREWITH , REDUCING AN APPROPRIATION. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado: SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 12-245-217, amend (2)(g) and (2)(h); and repeal (2)(i) as follows: 12-245-217. Scope of article - exemptions. (2) This article 245 does not apply to: (g) Students who are enrolled in a school program and are practicing as part of a school practicum or clinical program; OR (h) A professional practicing auricular acudetox in accordance with section 12-245-233. or (i) Screeners conducting screenings pursuant to the sixth through NOTE: This bill has been prepared for the signatures of the appropriate legislative officers and the Governor. SECTION 2. In Colorado Revised Statutes, repeal part 9 of article 50 of title 27. SECTION 3. Appropriation - adjustments to 2025 long bill. (1) To implement this act, general fund appropriations made in the annual general appropriation act for the 2025-26 state fiscal year to the department of human services are adjusted as follows: (a) The appropriation for health, life, and dental is decreased by $37,260; (b) The appropriation for short-term disability is decreased by $146; (c) The appropriation for paid family medical leave insurance is decreased by $936; (d) The appropriation for unfunded liability amortization equalization disbursement payments is decreased by $20,798; (e) The appropriation for use by the behavioral health administration for program administration is decreased by $260,978, and the related FTE is decreased by 3.0 FTE; and (f) The appropriation for use by the behavioral health administration for the school mental health screening program is decreased by $2,536,706. SECTION 4. Safety clause.
