The bill repeals this committee. State Expenditures The bill reduces General Fund expenditures in CDPHE by about $18,000 annually beginning in FY 2025-26 for operating expenses that are no longer required due to the repeal of the committee. Any radiation-specific workload performed by the committee will be absorbed by the Board of Health in the department. Effective Date The bill takes effect 90 days following adjournment of the General Assembly sine die, assuming no referendum petition is filed. State Appropriations For FY 2025-26, the bill decreases required General Fund appropriations to the Department of Public Health and Environment by $17,584. It is assumed that this reduction will be made in the FY 2025-26 Long Bill, rather than in this bill.
