AN ACT IMPLEMENTING THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE PROGRAM REVIEW AND INVESTIGATIONS COMMITTEE ESTABLISHING A PILOT PROGRAM TO REWARD INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION THAT ARE MEETING ESTABLISHED GOALS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2010) The Commissioner of Higher Education shall establish, within available resources, a pilot program to reward monetarily, at the commissioner's discretion, each public institution of higher education that meets the goals established pursuant to section 10a-6b of the general statutes to the satisfaction of the Higher Education Coordinating Council.

Statement of Purpose:
To implement the recommendations of the Program Review and Investigations Committee concerning establishing a pilot program that monetarily rewards the constituent units for meeting established goals.
