AN ACT CONCERNING OWNERS OF DOGS THAT HAVE VICIOUS DISPOSITIONS OR THAT BARK EXCESSIVELY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 22-363 of the general statutes be amended to provide that any person who owns or harbors a dog in violation of the statute a second or subsequent time within thirty days of the first offense be required to make a court appearance.

Statement of Purpose: 

To encourage dog owners to maintain control over their dogs and not allow their dogs to be a repeated nuisance.
