AN ACT CONCERNING INDEMNIFICATION FOR VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANIES, VOLUNTEER FIRE POLICE PATROLS AND VOLUNTEER AMBULANCE SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That sections 7-101a and 7-308 of the general statutes be amended to provide that members of volunteer fire companies, volunteer fire police patrols and volunteer ambulance services are indemnified by municipalities under section 7-101a of the general statutes.
Statement of Purpose:
To encourage volunteers to provide public safety services by clarifying that municipalities shall indemnify such volunteers.
