AN ACT CONCERNING DETENTION OF A CHILD UPON ARREST.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 46b-133 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit a police officer from bringing a child to a juvenile detention center upon arrest unless the police officer first obtains a court order for such detention.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit a police officer from bringing a child to a juvenile detention center upon arrest without a court order for such detention.
