AN ACT CONCERNING AUTOMOTIVE GLASS WORK.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require an automotive glass contractor holding an AG-1 license to have a general liability insurance policy of not less than one million dollars, and to prohibit an adjuster for an insurance company, automobile physical damage appraiser or individual or entity that processes claims for automotive glass replacement work from having a financial interest in a business that installs automotive glass.

Statement of Purpose: 

To require an automotive glass contractor holding an AG-1 license to have a general liability insurance coverage of not less than one million dollars, and to prevent conflicts of interest of individuals or entities that process claims for automotive glass replacement work.
