AN ACT EXTENDING THE "CARE FOR KIDS" PROGRAM TO FAMILIES WITH A PARENT WHO IS ACTIVELY SEEKING EMPLOYMENT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 17b-749 of the general statutes be amended to extend the child care subsidy program to financially qualifying families with a parent or caretaker who is actively seeking employment.

Statement of Purpose: 

To extend the "Care for Kids" child care subsidy program to assist parents who are actively seeking employment rather than just those parents who are already employed.
