AN ACT CONCERNING THE PREVENTION OF EXCESSIVE PENSIONS FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide that no municipal body or local pension board may pass legislation increasing the pension of any municipal official during the term in which such official is serving.
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent conflicts of interest in decisions regarding municipal pensions.
