AN ACT CONCERNING THE OPERATION OF NURSING HOMES INVOLVED IN LABOR DISPUTES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 19a-543 of the general statutes be amended to require that, when a nursing home has had a labor strike or lockout lasting four months or more, the nursing home shall be placed into state receivership and the ongoing labor dispute at the nursing home shall be placed before a state labor arbitration panel for resolution.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide a consistent process for the resolution of labor disputes in nursing homes.
