AN ACT CONCERNING STATE EMPLOYEE PENSION AND POST-EMPLOYMENT BENEFIT LIABILITIES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require the Governor to develop and submit a long-term plan to the Appropriations Committee by September 30, 2011, to reduce state employee pension and post-employment benefit liabilities. Said plan shall include recommendations for reform and contain a long-term schedule of investment growth projections and state and employee contributions that will reduce the unfunded liability to twenty per cent.

Statement of Purpose: 

To develop and adopt a plan to reduce state employee pension and post-employment benefit liabilities.
