AN ACT CONCERNING THE LOCAL SHARE OF FUNDING FOR EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-262i of the general statutes be amended to require that the local share of a town's budgeted appropriation for education be at least equal to the equalization aid grant amount for the town pursuant to section 10-262h of the general statutes.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow towns to reduce their education costs by establishing a minimum amount for the local share of education funding that is at least equal to the amount received by ECS.
