AN ACT REQUIRING THE ELECTRONIC DIRECT DEPOSIT OF STATE EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Comptroller to pay the salary of all state employees and compensation payable under chapter 568 of the general statutes by electronic direct deposit, unless the employee (1) is a temporary employee, or (2) demonstrates extraordinary hardship.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce or eliminate unnecessary printing and mailing costs.
