AN ACT CONCERNING A PILOT PROGRAM TO INVESTIGATE FRAUD AND ABUSE IN THE UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION SYSTEM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to create a pilot program within the Labor Department to investigate fraud and abuse among unemployment claimants.
Statement of Purpose:
To help reduce fraud in the unemployment compensation benefit program and protect the fund for legitimate claimants.
