AN ACT CONCERNING A STATE SONG OF REMEMBRANCE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (NEW) (Effective from passage) The song "Taps", composed by Daniel Butterfield, shall be the state song of remembrance.

 


This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose: 

To designate the song "Taps", performed by the honor guard at the funerals of members of the armed forces killed in action and the funerals of certain honorably discharged veterans, as the state song of remembrance.
