AN ACT CONCERNING SOLICITORS OF CHARITABLE FUNDS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
To amend the general statutes to prohibit solicitors of charitable funds from soliciting funds intended to be used by groups or individuals not located in the state and to require such solicitors to state the name of the organization or individual they are soliciting for and to reveal the percentage of donations that will actually be received by such organization or individual.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit solicitors of charitable funds from raising funds in Connecticut when such funds will be used by groups or individuals outside of the state and to alert potential contributors to the percentage of their donation that will actually go to the intended organization or individual.
