AN ACT INCREASING ACCESS TO HIGHER EDUCATION FOR INMATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Correction to provide inmates with the opportunity to pursue undergraduate degrees online.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase access to postsecondary education for inmates and prepare them for the workforce upon their release.
