AN ACT PROHIBITING DISCRIMINATION ON THE BASIS OF GENDER IDENTITY OR EXPRESSION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit discrimination on the basis of gender identity or expression in employment, public accommodations, the sale or rental of housing, the granting of credit, state contracts, education, utility service, state licensing, state job training and various other contexts, to define "gender identity or expression" and to authorize the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities to investigate complaints of discrimination on the basis of gender identity or expression.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit discrimination on the basis of gender identity or expression.
