AN ACT PROVIDING A MASS TRANSPORTATION VOUCHER TO SENIOR CITIZENS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to provide a mass transportation voucher for one year of free transportation on state-owned mass transit to senior citizens who donate their car to a qualified nonprofit organization.

Statement of Purpose: 

To increase highway safety, encourage mass transit and help senior citizens with their transportation costs.
