AN ACT DESIGNATING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF MUNICIPAL ROADS "ACCIDENT" OR "HOT" ZONES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to designate certain sections of municipal roads as "Accident" or "Hot" zones. Such areas will be designated an accident or hot zone based on the volume of automobile accidents. Signs will designate the beginning and end of the zones, and traffic violations occurring in the zones will result in fines being doubled. Half of such fine will go to the municipality, and the other half to the state. Statement of Purpose: To protect drivers on dangerous stretches of road.
