AN ACT CONCERNING THE USE OF REVENUES DERIVED FROM AN INCREASE IN THE HOTEL TAX.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 219 of the general statutes be amended to increase the hotel tax by three per cent and to direct the Commissioner of Revenue Services to segregate the amount of revenue raised thereby and distribute it as follows: One per cent to go to the municipality in which the hotel is located, one per cent to go to the regional council of governments covering the municipality in which the hotel is located and one per cent to be deposited in the General Fund.

Statement of Purpose: 

To increase the hotel tax and divide the revenue raised by this increase among the host municipality, the host council of governments and the state.
