AN ACT CONCERNING "BUY CONNECTICUT" AND STATE CONTRACTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 58 of the general statutes be amended to require any state contract with a value of more than two and one-half million dollars paid for with state funds to include a requirement that at least fifty-one per cent of such contract be performed by businesses or residents of the state.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure the majority of state funding is recaptured by Connecticut businesses and workers.
