AN ACT CONCERNING BREASTFEEDING IN PUBLIC.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 53a-186 of the general statutes be amended to provide that nothing in said section shall be construed to prohibit a woman breastfeeding an infant in a public place.
Statement of Purpose:
To make clear that the act of breastfeeding an infant in public does not constitute the crime of public indecency.
