AN ACT INCREASING THE INDEPENDENCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF BRADLEY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to change the membership and responsibilities of the Bradley Board of Directors and make it more independent of the Department of Transportation by eliminating the requirement that the board consult with the Commissioner of Transportation for the following: Employment of managerial employees and establishment of their salary, which is paid from the Bradley Enterprise Fund; approval of significant contracts related to airport operations, excluding collective bargaining agreements; and direct selection of consultants.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase the independence of the Bradley International Airport Board of Directors.
