AN ACT CONCERNING REGULATION OF ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLES BY MUNICIPALITIES .
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to: Increase registration fees for all-terrain vehicles (ATVs); increase fines for illegal ATV use; impose a fine for unregistered or uninsured ATVs; require ATV owners to hold insurance for all foreseeable liabilities, and allow towns to keep a greater portion of such fines to be used for enforcement of ATV laws.
Statement of Purpose:
To give towns greater opportunity to regulate ATV use and enforce laws concerning such use.
