AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE USE OF A FLASHING RED LIGHT ON A VEHICLE BEING OPERATED BY A LOCAL DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subdivision (3) of subsection (a) of section 14-96p of the general statutes be amended to authorize the use of a flashing red light on a vehicle being operated by a local deputy director of emergency management while such deputy director is on the way to the scene of an emergency.
Statement of Purpose:
To authorize local deputy directors of emergency management to apply for red light permits.
