AN ACT PROHIBITING OPEN CONTAINERS OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN MOTOR VEHICLES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide that no person shall possess an open alcoholic beverage container within the passenger area of a motor vehicle while such motor vehicle is on any highway in this state.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit open containers of alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles.
