AN ACT PREVENTING CREDIT HISTORY BEING USED AGAINST AN EMPLOYEE IN HIRING DECISIONS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to eliminate the use of credit reports in hiring decisions.

Statement of Purpose: 

To prevent the usage of credit reports as a basis for denial of employment by potential employers.
