AN ACT CONCERNING BUSINESS NAMES USED BY PRACTICING CHIROPRACTORS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. Subsection (a) of section 20-32 of the general statutes is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective July 1, 2011):
(a) No licensee under the provisions of this chapter shall use the title "Doctor" or any abbreviation or synonym thereof unless he or she holds the degree of doctor of chiropractic from a chartered chiropractic school or college, in which event the title shall be such as will designate the licensee as a practitioner of chiropractic. [No person shall practice as a chiropractor under any name other than the name of the chiropractor actually owning the practice or a corporate name containing the name or names of such chiropractors.] Each licensed chiropractor shall exhibit his or her name at the entrance of his or her place of business or on his or her office door.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
