AN ACT CONCERNING INSURANCE FOR MUNICIPALITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2011) Each municipality shall submit any group health insurance policy maintained by such municipality that provides coverage of the type specified in subdivisions (1), (2), (4), (11) and (12) of section 38a-469 of the general statutes for competitive bid prior to the renewal of such policy or the date of termination of a rate guarantee related to such policy, whichever is later.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
