AN ACT CONCERNING A TECHNICAL CHANGE TO STATUTES GOVERNING THE DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND HOMELAND SECURITY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. Section 28-17 of the general statutes is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective October 1, 2011):

No employee shall be discharged because he or she is a member of any organization engaged in civil preparedness or because he or she is eligible for induction into the armed forces of the United States.

To make technical corrections to the statutes on the Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security.
