AN ACT CONCERNING THE DENIAL OF UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION BENEFITS TO CERTAIN DRIVERS WHO ARE UNEMPLOYED AS A RESULT OF BEING DENIED A SPECIAL OPERATOR'S PERMIT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 567 of the general statutes be amended to prevent livery drivers who are terminated as a result of being denied a special operator's permit from collecting unemployment compensation benefits. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To deny unemployment compensation benefits to livery drivers terminated from employment as a result of being denied a special operator's permit.
