AN ACT CONCERNING THE AVAILABILITY OF PODIATRY SERVICES UNDER THE MEDICAID PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. Section 17b-28e of the general statutes is amended by adding subsection (d) as follows (Effective from passage):
(NEW) (d) Not later than October 1, 2011, the Commissioner of Social Services shall amend the Medicaid state plan to include podiatry services as an optional service under the Medicaid program.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
