AN ACT CONCERNING APPROVAL OR REJECTION OF COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENTS BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 5-278 of the general statutes be amended to require the General Assembly to approve or reject agreements with state employee organizations and to prohibit such agreements from being deemed approved if the General Assembly fails to act.
Statement of Purpose:
To require state employee collective bargaining agreements to be voted upon by the legislature before they become effective.
