AN ACT SUSPENDING CERTAIN PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT REQUIREMENTS FOR TEACHERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to permit local and regional boards of education to suspend those professional development activities required by state law and paid for by such boards until 2014.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide towns relief from the fiscal costs associated with professional development activities for teachers mandated by state law.
