AN ACT CONCERNING THE COLLECTION OF THE MARIJUANA AND CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES TAX.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 228d of the general statutes be amended to require that the Marijuana and Controlled Substances Tax be assessed at any disposition of a drug case in state courts, including dispositions involving diversionary programs.

Statement of Purpose: 

To assess the appropriate tax on marijuana and controlled substances at the disposition of any criminal matter.
