AN ACT CONCERNING HOME AND COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES FOR THE ELDERLY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That sections 17b-369 and 17b-370 of the general statutes be amended to increase the number of elderly persons who receive benefits under Medicaid for home and community-based services, including nursing care and homemaker services, so that such persons may remain living in their homes rather than living in an institution.

Statement of Purpose: 

To expand Medicaid coverage to permit elderly individuals who do not require intensive nursing care to remain in their homes.
